About this Event
Mental Health Week and KDMHRC 10 Year Anniversary Panel
The Canadian Mental Health Association - North & West Vancouver Branch (CMHA-NWV) is proud to celebrate the annual Mental Health Week with an inspiring, informational & compassionate panel discussion and art fair. This year's theme, "Come Together, Canada. Stronger Connections. Better Mental Health.", invites us to explore the role connection plays in mental wellbeing - and the realities that make connection easier or harder depending on who we are and what we carry.
The theme of the 2026 Mental Health Week ties seamlessly into our combined celebration of the day; the 10 year anniversary of the Kelty Dennehy Mental Health Resource Centre - a crucial, community supporting program and pillar of the North Shore that plays a vital role in delivering CMHA-NWV's programming. It's a milestone moment in our community, and we'd be honoured to have you join us to celebrate and open the dialogue on mental health, the role community plays and how we can all bring our shared passion, dedication and generosity to improve countless lives on the North Shore.
What To Expect:
Community Panel Conversation: An inspiring discussion on isolation, belonging, and practical ways to build community. Our panel will bring together voices from diverse walks of life, including lived experience and professional perspectives connected to newcomer communities, seniors, youth, and individuals with substance use experiences.
Peer Art Fair: Celebrating creativity, resilience, and the power of shared stories - come by to browse local artisans from our North Shore community.
Community Celebration: Honouring 10 years of accessible mental health resources and support through CMHA-NWV & the Kelty Dennehy Mental Health Resource Centre.
