About this Event

This in person workshop will be held on Wednesday 18th March, 10am-5:30pm at Space Studios, Manchester.

The Film and TV Charity’s Mental Health Training was developed in response to the growing wellbeing challenges across the UK screen sector, where long hours, high pressure, unpredictable schedules and emotionally demanding content can have a serious impact on those working behind the scenes.

Designed for anyone with leadership or management responsibilities, the course provides a practical, industry‑specific introduction to mental‑health risks, duty‑of‑care responsibilities and the everyday realities facing teams in production environments.

Through a blend of practical exercises, case studies, and group discussions participants learn how to recognise early signs of distress, hold supportive conversations and create a safer, more inclusive working culture where people feel able to talk openly about their wellbeing.

You will also receive access to a comprehensive industry resource pack and a guide to the support available from the Charity – helping you to signpost effectively.

This workshop is delivered by Justine Walton and Matt Keyte on behalf of the Film and TV Charity, organised by Screen Alliance North.
