About this Event
Purpose
When you think of the term “ underserved population”, what usually comes to mind is financial and racial disparities. However, gender should also be taken into consideration.
Statistics show men, specifically men of color, are more likely to suffer and succumb to heart disease, diabetes, and mental health illnesses. Major factors show men are less likely to seek medical and mental healthcare due to cultural beliefs, stigmas, busy work schedules, responsibilities, and life stressors/depression which cause health to take a backseat in the list of priorities. Due to these reasons, Taylor Made Services LLC wants to help bring wellness to the men in the community.
In our second annual Wellness of Kings Men's Symposium, we will focus on mental health and creating a safe platform for our men in the community, from all walks of life, to discuss their journey. Our Symposium this year will be hosted by a panel of medical and mental health professionals.
