Welcome to the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Virtual Adult Blended In-Person Training event! This training is designed to equip you with the skills to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Join us online for a comprehensive program that combines self-paced online learning with a live virtual session. Learn how to recognize the signs of mental health issues, provide initial help, and guide individuals to professional support. Whether you're a community member, professional, parent or caregiver, this course equips you with life-saving tools to support those in crisis and connect them to the help they need. Participants will learn how to: Identify common signs & symptoms of mental health & substance use challenges, approach someone in distress with confidence and compassion, listen non-judgementally & offer reassurance, encourage appropriate professional support & self-help strategies, and reduce stigma & strrengthen your community's mental wellness.
This certification course includes: Self-Paced Pre-Work (Modules 1-9): Approx. 2 hours, Live Instructor-Led Training (Module 10): 9:00 AM-5:00 PM on Zoom, and Post-Training Exam: Short quiz to complete your certification.
Please Note: Completion of all pre-work is required in order to recieve the Zoom link for the live training. Participants who do not complete the pre-work will not be permitted to attend.
Certification & Resources: MHFA certificate valid for 3 years, Digital MHFA Participant Processing Guide (PPG), Digital Manual, access to resources via MHFA Connect Dashboard, & eligible for CEU's (contingent upon agency or director approval)
