About this Event
The Mental Health First Aid for Fire/EMS curriculum focuses on the unique experiences and needs of Fire and EMS personnel. The better prepared EMS are to respond effectively and appropriately to individuals experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders, the more likely the interaction will be positive.
Additionally, the increased prevalence of mental illness and substance use disorders among Fire and EMS workers due to stress and exposure to trauma, makes this program an important part of any agency's wellness initiative.
This class has been awarded 8 CEU's.
