About this Event
Have you ever spent hours on scene trying to assess and then manage a patient with a mental health presentation or a patient who lacks capacity?
During this session we will explore both the mental health and capacity assessment frameworks.
We will also outline and then debate our legal and ethical obligations as healthcare professionals.
Patients across the lifespan will be explored including peadiatrics, teens, adults and the eldery. Especially how parents, LPOAs and RESPECT forms influence plans.
Finally, we have some real cases including an acutely suicidal patient and a patient who has taken a fatal overdose for you to discuss so you can consolidate your learning and use the skills achieved during the session.
Open to all clinical grades including external student Paramedics
