About this Event
Our Black Men & Mental Health Check-In Series is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for Black men to address the often-overlooked.
This series on Sunday September 22nd will be focused on The effects of Trauma and PTSD.
Trauma can have profound effects on mental health, manifesting in ways that disrupt daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. This session will delve into the unique challenges Black men face when coping with trauma, exploring how historical, generational, and personal experiences shape mental health.
Our goal is to foster a community of understanding and healing by bringing together mental health professionals, trauma survivors, and community members. Through open dialogue, expert insights, and shared experiences, we aim to empower participants with the tools and knowledge to recognize, address, and manage the effects of trauma and PTSD.
Whether you are personally affected by trauma or seeking to support a loved one, this check-in will provide valuable resources, connections, and a sense of solidarity. Together, we can break the silence and stigma surrounding mental health in our community, paving the way for healing and resilience
