Do you want to stop feeling overwhelmed by changes in your body that may relate to altering hormone levels?
Do you want to know how to action lifestyle-based solutions effectively, so that your menopausal journey feels empowering rather than challenging?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then the ‘menopause – done differently’ seminar is for you!
Many symptoms and potential health outcomes, that are associated with a decrease in estrogen and other sex hormones, have been attributed to perimenopause and menopause. Although menopause is a normal life event for women, individual experiences do vary. As a women’s health physiotherapist, Jennifer has helped thousands of women during this stage of life, with a focus on the genito-urinary issues that can occur with their pelvic health. These can include vaginal dryness, burning and irritation, discomfort and/or pain during sexual intercourse, prolapse, alongside bladder urgency, incontinence and frequency. Digestive health can also be affected, with bowel habits and control sometimes changing.
During the seminar, Jennifer will focus on how women can take a holistic approach to health, which considers both physical function and emotional wellbeing. Through learning about pelvic health, in addition to movement and exercise, nutrition, fluid intake, sleep and mindset, it will enable women to leave the seminar feeling empowered to create positive change during this transitional time or ‘second spring’.
Say goodbye to the stigma and confusion that often surrounds this natural phase in a woman's life. This interactive seminar will help understand how to take a whole-body, lifestyle based, holistic approach to transition through perimenopause and menopause, with a focus on pelvic health. Jennifer’s goal is that you leave the evening feeling empowered, connected with your body and ready to create positive change!
Please note that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) will only be touched on briefly, as this is outside the scope of a physiotherapist.
