Please note, this course is for employees of University Hospitals Tees only.
Our goal is to change perceptions and attitudes about menopause and encouraging open conversation. It's important for everyone to grasp what menopause entails and to feel comfortable discussing it openly. Those undergoing menopausal symptoms should feel empowered to seek assistance, ensuring they can continue to thrive professionally.
As a Menopause Champion, your role is to foster a supportive environment in the workplace, ensuring our staff's needs are met and keeping them in work and providing patient care.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the role of a menopause champion –expectations/ how you see the role.
- Understand what menopause is and the different stages of transition.
- Consider who are we connecting with/ how are we connecting/ when do you do it/ what does it entail.
- Be able to support colleagues in an appropriate way, creating a community of support across the Trust.
- Demonstrate how to show understanding as a colleague/friend.
- Understand how to maintain Accreditation as a menopause friendly employer and what this means.
Target audience:
University Hospitals Tees staff.
If you are a non-medical registrant who is eligible for Continual Professional Development (CPD) funding this course will account as part of your annual allowance for CPD funding.
