The current discourse around the changes that occur in menopause does not serve any of us well. In fact for many, the medical model of menopause stirs up a significant felt sense of ‘un-safety’ the exact opposite of a trauma informed and responsive approach! But what if we had a different understanding of menopause? What if we tapped into the great strengths and wisdom that come with menopause? What if we took a trauma informed approach that was centred on a felt sense of safety, on trust in ourselves, and others, in collaboration and community and cultural humility so that every person could step into the leadership role that menopause offers to us in knowing confidence that the best is yet to come?

In this webinar we will explore menopause in the context of trauma informed knowledge and polyvagal theory and unpack some of the challenges and the whys. We will consider menopause as a rite of passage and spotlight a more positive, strength based and intuitively centred view of menopause based on our knowledge of cultural evolution. Through our relationships with ourselves and others we will highlight the journey of menopause as a journey towards leadership, knowledge and compassion that will serve everyone well.
