A special edition for World Menopause Month - A relaxed space to talk, share, and support each other through perimenopause and menopause
About this Event

MENO:Pause + Connect Support Cafe with Melanie Glass at GULP

This special edition for World Menopause Awareness Month will include insights from Melanie's journey, refreshments and snacks, participation in a survey and a takeaway gift bag.

Perimenopausal or menopausal and feeling like you’re falling apart? Don’t really understand what’s going on and how to deal with it? Feeling unsupported by your GP, family or friends? Wish there was someone who would listen, support and provide you with a space to share - or just sit quietly? Then why not try one of our menopause cafes?

Our menopause cafes provide a relaxed, informal and confidential space for you, regardless of gender or age, to come and discuss menopause over a cuppa. Our aim is to not only offer a space for honest conversations, but also to create a sense of community. This is not about fixing, but listening.

Why not join us to connect, ask questions, share experiences with others who truly get it, and listen - without trying to fix each other?

The MENO:Pause + Connect Support Cafe is perfect if you:

  • Are currently going through perimenopause or menopause
  • Want to understand more about the journey ahead
  • Are supporting someone navigating hormonal changes

As part of the meaningful research Devenish Health CIC is undertaking around what holistic menopause provision could look like within Birmingham and the West Midlands, we will also be asking you to participate in a confidential survey. The survey will launch on the 1st Oct to coincide with World Menopause Awareness Month.

Hi, I'm Melanie, the founder of Devenish health CIC. I'm a Licensed Menopause Champion with the Menopause Experts Group, as well as a Certified Menopause Wellness Practitioner and work throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands.

I seek to educate, equip, and empower menopausal women, thus enabling them to navigate their own unique menopause journey. This is achieved through the provision of a range of holistic menopause services - available both in person and online.

Driven by my own ongoing menopause experiences, Melanie is passionate about helping others feel equipped, educated, and empowered during this life stage.
