About this Event
The Mencap Training Academy is hosting an open evening to promote places for the 2026/27 academic year on our supported internship and pre-internship programmes based in or near to the London borough of Islington.
Our programme is open to young people aged 16-24 who have an EHCP and who want to find a job.
We help them achieve this by teaching them about the skills and behaviours needed in the workplace during sessions at our classroom in Islington (a short walk from Highbury & Islington and Holloway Road stations). We also support them to complete exciting work experience opportunities with a wide range of employers all over London.
Employers we work with include Greene King, King's College London, HelloFresh, Sanctuary Care, Travis Perkins, Bella Italia, Delfont Mackintosh, Chopstix Noodle Bar, Mitie (at a Network Rail site in Stratford) and Islington Council.
The open evening will provide more information about placements, learning on the programme, and how to start the enrolment process.
