Men Listening, Men Talking: A Single Day Men's RetreatThe story of the Good Samaritan is one of trauma and rescue. It invites us as men to explore our own journeys and encounters with enemies and apathy, compassion and community. At this one-day retreat, we will reflect on this and more in a context of worship, prayer, conversation and listening to the Spirit.

Will you let me be your neighbor?
Men are invited to participate in this retreat that will focus on building healthy relationships of peace in their daily roles as fathers, sons, husbands and neighbors.
Our guest speaker will be Arthur Boers, who has pastored in urban, suburban, rural and inner city settings in Ontario and the Midwest. He has taught at several seminaries. A priest in the Anglican Church of Canada, he is also a Benedictine oblate. Arthur’s insights about men’s issues were formed by his last book, "Shattered: A Son Picks Up the Pieces of His Father’s Rage," where he reflected on the impact of generational violence.
The retreat will focus on the Merciful Samaritan, a story that speaks deeply to our polarized times. Arthur has just completed his next book, "Samaritan Mercy: Inviting Trauma Victims, Rescuers, By-Passers, and Even Perpetrators into the Neighborhood," emphasizing mercy and neighborliness as a faithful way forward towards breaking cycles of violence.
As you pursue lives of faith, peace and non-violence, you won't want to miss this retreat.
The retreat is intended for men ages 18+. Learn more and register here: https://mcc.org/events/men-listening-men-talking-single-day-mens-retreat
