About this Event
Quest Research Institute will be opening the Memory Matters Café as they provide FREE, confidential memory screenings and gourmet coffee on Thursday, September 19 from their newly expanded facility in Farmington Hills to increase awareness for early detection of memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease in honor of World Alzheimer’s Month.
In Michigan, it is estimated that more than 202,000 people are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, and experts predict that this number will increase drastically in the future. The only way to find treatments and cures for Alzheimer’s disease is through clinical trials, and that is why volunteers like those who participate in screenings are invaluable in helping to find the cure.
The 30-minute memory testing for adults ages 50-80 will be conducted in a private setting. After attendees complete the assessment, they meet one-on-one with a health professional who can discuss the results with them and address any questions or concerns they have about their memory.
The free, confidential memory screenings will take place on September 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Quest Research Institute located at 28555 Orchard Lake Rd, Suite 200 in Farmington Hills, where free gourmet coffee and treats will be available for attendees. Free parking is available as well.
