The City of Bowie proudly presents a powerful and patriotic Memorial Day Parade on May 23 honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, saluting those currently serving, and recognizing all who have worn the uniform in defense of our nation. This year’s celebration carries even greater meaning as the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation is commemorated - a historic milestone that makes this tribute more special than ever.
Expect a vibrant parade filled with marching bands, community groups, veterans, and patriotic pride!
The parade steps off from the Belair Annex on Belair Drive at 11 a.m., and marches down Belair Drive, then turns right onto Sussex Lane, and ends at the corner of Sussex Lane and Stonybrook Drive. The reviewing stand is on Sussex Lane (near the intersection with Stonybrook Drive).
There are great viewing locations along the parade route. Bleachers will be available next to the reviewing stand. Attendees can also bring their own chairs or sit on the curb along the route.
Bring your family, wave your flags, and be part of a heartfelt tradition that honors courage, service, and freedom.
