Come join us for a Memorial Day Observance at Evergreen Burial Park on Saturday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. as we gather to honor those who gave everything for our country. This year’s program reflects on America 250 and the enduring legacy of service that has shaped our nation.
Keynote speaker Mike Hudson, Executive Director of the Smithfield-Preston Foundation and noted cemetery historian, will present “A Soldier’s Story,” bringing history and sacrifice to life.
The ceremony will also feature period reenactors, participants in historic costume, and the playing of taps by Gary Duerk.
Bring your family, reflect with your neighbors, and take part in a tradition of remembrance that matters.
The tour group will meet at the Flagpole, 1307 Summit Ave. SW Roanoke, VA 24105. Call 540-342-2593 for more information.
