Remember- Memorial Day is a federal holiday observed on the last Monday in May to honor and remember all U.S. military personnel who died in service. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated after the Civil War to decorate soldiers' graves with flowers and flags, becoming a national day of remembrance for those who gave their lives in all wars.
