Join us this Halloween for Memento Mori, a unique celebration where we embrace the ancient Latin wisdom of "remembering that you have to die" to fully appreciate life. In a night filled with music, art, and immersive experiences, we will explore how cultures around the world transform our relationship with death, shifting away from fear and sadness to a perspective of acceptance, peace, and even celebration.
Through interactive installations, inspired by spiritual practices from around the globe, you’ll discover positive outlooks on death—from Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, honouring ancestors to Eastern philosophies viewing death as a cycle of renewal.
Memento Mori invites you to transform Halloween from a night of fear into a night of enlightening reflection, connection, and celebration of both the living and the dead.
Event Highlights:
- Costume & Theme - Gods & Afterlife: Costumes are encouraged but with a twist: reimagine traditional symbols of death in a creative, uplifting way. Think skeletons adorned with flowers, embody the god within you, and vibrant representations of the afterlife.
- Community Talk: Engage in thought-provoking discussions on spiritual practices from around the globe to discover positive outlooks on death.
- Inspiring Activity: Engage in activities from the global art project ‘’Before I Die’’, where attendees can express how they want to contribute to this world!
