This workshop is sponsored by the Minnesota State Association of Parliamentarians (MSAP.US). Please join us for an interesting and informative morning on the rights of members and what you can do to safeguard those rights. There will be handouts, lists of resources, and time for questions.
The workshop will begin at 8:45 a.m. CST and conclude at 12:00 noon CST. Topics include:

Instructors:
Lucy H. Johnson, PRP has been a member of NAP since 2015. She became a Registered Parliamentarian in April 2017 and a Professional Registered Parliamentarian in December 2017. She is the current president of the Minnesota State Association of Parliamentarians (MSAP). For MSAP, she has served as vice-president and chair of the Convention Committee, Education Committee, and Nominating Committee. She has been a member of the St. Paul Unit (SPU) since 2013.
Patricia Reymann, PRP is a teacher by trade - of math, religion, music, as well as parliamentary procedure. For over 20 years she has served as a parliamentarian for local, national, and international organizations. In addition, she has served the St. Paul Unit and MSAP as an officer and committee chairman. Pat believes that careful planning is the secret to good meeting management.
Miriam G. Simmons, PRP joined NAP in 2014. She is a past president of the St. Paul Unit and past president of the Minnesota State Association of Parliamentarians (MSAP). She currently serves as Vice President and Convention Chair for MSAP as well as webmaster for MSAP. She also serves on the National Association of Parliamentarians Youth Committee.
Dan Thomas-Commins joined NAP in 2024 as a member of the Northern Lights Parliamentarians unit. He has served as a chair or parliamentarian at dozens of meetings and conventions over the past eight years. He is passionate about empowering members to exercise their rights in these meetings so decisions best reflect the collective wisdom and will of the assembly.
