The monthly meeting of the members of the Lima Astronomical Society, followed by our monthly program and public observing (weather-depending).The monthly member meeting will begin promptly at 8:00pm, and last approximately one hour or less, followed by the monthly program. Please sign in to the visitor log when you arrive.
Lima Astro meetings and programs are open to the public! Please join us if you have an interest in astronomy and want to know more about our organization.
If the skies are clear we encourage you to stay after the meeting and join Lima Astronomical Society members at Schoonover Observatory to view the wonders of the night sky through the observatory telescope in the dome. No experience is required! We welcome observers of all levels. We also spend time on the upper deck learning about constellations, pointing out planets, and watching for satellites!
Having trouble with your own telescope? Bring it with you so we can give you a hand! This is also a great opportunity to learn more about the Society.
