About this Event
Levin Down Nature Reserve is an oasis of biological diversity set in a landscape dominated by agriculture and forestry. Too steep to plough, Levin has remained an ‘unimproved’ landscape, providing an environment in which rare chalk loving plants and insects can thrive. Rob Eadie, Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Volunteer Reserve Manager, will guide you round the reserve, sharing his intimate knowledge of the local flora and fauna and how your membership supports the work undertaken to preserve this rare environment.
We envisage the walk will last between 1.5 and 2 hours with an opportunity to stop and enjoy the wonderful views. Biscuits will be provided. Please bring your own drink.
Accessibility:Please note, Levin down is a steep climb and quite exposed. The walk will be at a gentle pace but a certain degree of fitness is required.
