Attention: Autism United of Wisconsin Members
Adventure into the dreamlike world of Drosselmeyer’s Imaginarium! Hailed as “equal parts smart and magical” (Milwaukee Magazine), this fantastical production invites you to let your imagination run free for the holidays.
As one of Milwaukee’s favorite holiday traditions, The Nutcracker guarantees an enchanting evening of festive fun for all ages. Nearly 200 dancers, including students of Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy, will illuminate the incredible artistic talent found right here in our city.
Before the show, attendees are invited to enjoy a "Meet & Greet" with members of The Nutcracker cast in the Anello Atrium from 5:15 - 5:45 p.m.(subject to dancer availability).
This free special event is offered to Autism United members only. Limited seating available. Please only reserve tickets if you are sure you can attend. Limit of 6 tickets per family.
Tickets typically start at $20 per person, which is $120 for a family of six. A membership is just $40! This event alone if a savings of $80 which is more than your yearly membership cost.

This sensory-friendly performance of The Nutcracker: Drosselmeyer’s Imaginarium has been crafted for guests of ALL ages who have sensory processing needs, identify as neurodivergent, or would benefit from viewing an adjusted performance experience.
What makes this performance sensory friendly?
Relaxed House Rules
- Admission tickets provide a seat for each ticket holder, however, we encourage families to move around the theater as needed during the production.
- Sensory bags available for use, available for check-out at the Boutique
- House lights remain on
- Doors remain open for exiting theater as needed
- Use of tablet/smartphones allowed (no photos of performance)
- Designated Quiet Zone in the Green Room will be made available for audience members to take a break from the performance
Performance Adaptations
- Adjusted live performance from our orchestra
- No flashing lights, stage fog/smoke or sudden sounds
Adjusted Performance Run Time
- Act I: 46 minutes long
- Intermission will be shortened to 15 minutes
- Act II is 41 minutes long

Physical tickets are REQURIED to get into the show, but do not worry there are lots of ways to get your tickets!
If you have ordered before Tuesday December 2nd, we will mail them. If you reserve after that date, you can also make arrangements to stop by the Autism United office to pick up your tickets.
