The first in a series of concerts presented by Melt, bringing together a range of musicians to collaborate, improvise and respond in a continuous long-form performance.The space will be ‘stage-less’ encouraging the audience to move freely around the room, or to find a comfy spot, settle in and to listen to the unique conversation the develops between performers.

LINEUP
Melt
A multi-instrumental project based around the explorations and improvisations of Jordan Rodger. Melt is made up of Eno inspired loop-based music, chin scratching post-rock grooves and, more recently, contemporary jazz for the appreciation of group interaction, musical conversation and a shared listening experience. This live iteration of Melt will see the group expand into a two drum kit Quintet – with Jordan directing the improvised shape of the concert.
Ziyu Chen
Ziyu is a professional Guzheng player from the GlowLing Band, a Canberra-based Chinese traditional music group. She hopes to share the peace and beauty of this 2700-year-old Chinese
instrument with more people.
ALPHAMALE
ALPHAMALE is a solo experimental viola x electronics project by Hannah de Feyter. Her work includes sonic installation with Chamber Made and Now or Never Festival, theatrical sound design for Canberra Theatre Centre and Ainslie & Gorman Arts Centres, and soundtracks for a series of films with feminist erotica project A Four Chambered Heart.
Lucyvale
Inspired by both the newest revolutions in post-rock, and the long-forgotten and long-unexplored aspects of it, Lucyvale is an ambitious, mostly-solo project helmed by Lucy Skipper (who named herself after the project). Lucyvale investigates very long-form and evolution-heavy music, with sounds ranging from walls of harsh noise, to krautrock, to lo-fi acoustic folk, and to doom-ridden apocalyptic sludge, whatever that _really_ means.
