MELODY GUY ANNOUNCES POWERFUL NEW ALBUM, TRAIN TO DREAMLAND, OUT JANUARY 18, 2026

A bold blend of rock, pop and Americana, and fearless honesty, featuring some of Nashville’s most respected musicians

NASHVILLE, TN —Critically acclaimed Nashville singer/songwriter/guitarist, Melody Guy, unveils her electrifying new album Train to Dreamland — available January 18, 2026, on all major streaming platforms.

This 15-track collection fuses rock, pop and Americana with unflinching lyrical truth, marking a stunning evolution in her sound and spirit. Produced by Guy, and mixed and mastered by Pat Lassiter at Riverfront Studio, the album was recorded between Florence, Ala;Portland, Ore; and Madison, Tenn. Train to Dreamland features collaborations with her daughter Delaney Smith (Sit Pretty) on harmonies; Chas Williams (Nanci Griffith, Wynonna Judd) on slide, electric guitars and dobro; Mike Daly (Travis Tritt, HankWilliams Jr.) on pedal steel guitar; Paco Shipp (Jamie Hartford Band) on harmonica, Racquel Cole (The Woods) on harmony on “I Forgive Me;” hit songwriter Ronnie Guilbeau on harmonies; drummers Jay Tooke (Clay Walker, Cody Johnson) and William Ellis (Montgomery Gentry); and string arranger Tim Lorsch (Americana Strings, The Suitcase )— along with a special duet, “Talk To Yourself,” recorded with her late friend Mark Elliott, a song she discovered after his passing. Renowned Muscle Shoals songwriter Mark Narmone, (Craig Morgan, Reba McEntire, John Michael Montgomery) who plays keyboard and organ on the recording, says "Melody's songwriting, voice and guitar playing on this record are all sweetly baptized in real life soulfulness. It's a thing of beauty..."

Guy wrote nine of the fifteen tracks, with the remaining songs co-writes with Mark Elliott, Wood Newton, Steve Dean, and Jorgen Thorup. The lead single, “Happy I’m Getting Older,” is already turning heads with its raw energy and unapologetic message of resilience — a grunge-rock anthem about embracing life, scars and all. The album’s opener, “Invisible,” ignites with fire and defiance, while songs like “Dreamland,” “I Forgive Me,” and “Talk to Yourself” showcase Guy’s signature depth, storytelling, and emotional honesty.

With over two million touring miles, Melody Guy has carved out a reputation as one of Americana’s most authentic and powerful voices. She’s shared stages with Keith Urban, Tanya Tucker, Leon Russell, The Avett Brothers, John Michael Montgomery, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, and Amy Grant. Her 2019 release Dry the Rivers received a full album premiere in Billboard. Train to Dreamland cements her place as an artist unafraid to bare her soul — and rock with purpose.
