Melissa McKinney, is a powerhouse blues/roots-rock project led by commanding vocalist, known to many as MAMA. MAMA, an Asheville based band, earned Second Place at the International Blues Challenge, presented by the Blues Foundation in January as well as the Merlefest Band Competition in 2025.Melissa is a vocalist known for her raw power, emotional delivery, and connection with audiences. Her original songs are direct, heartfelt, and come from lived experience.
