About this Event
Acting is the ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances. In this one-day Meisner intensive, you’ll move out of your head and into your body through practical work on first moments, coming to the door, and emotional prep.
This workshop is designed to help actors strip away performance habits and reconnect with instinct, presence, and emotional truth. By focusing on the reality of doing, you’ll build a stronger, more responsive approach to scene work and a practical framework for approaching scripts with depth and authenticity.
You’ll leave with a sharpened sense of presence, a more grounded and reactive process, and a repeatable method for accessing emotional depth without overthinking.
Jana Lee Hamblin has been a professional actor for 33 years and has taught for over two decades. Her approach is intuitive, supportive, and focused on helping actors bypass internal criticism and find a more honest connection to the work.
