When synthwave and power metal collide, Megatronix was born from the idea of "What if...?"
Formed with a combined love of everything '80s and '80s cyberpunk aesthetic, Dark Rob's musical vision and Power Rob's award-winning vocals, along with years of combined experience in recording and live performances in various other projects, eventually brought this duo together to form a unique take on the '80s revival and "new retro" emergence of the synthwave genre.
With the pair's debut album, Powerwave, they set out on a quest not to change the game, but to celebrate everything that the '80s had to offer with a dark synth crossed with a power metal backbone. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, the duo individually has over 20 years of on-stage experience combined, with multiple tours including international touring.
