$Megan's Challenge 9th Annual 10k & Mini Charity Fun Run\/Walk$

We have two events, the first to start is the Mini Run/Walk at 10.15am prompt, (approx. 1.5 miles) and then the 10k Fun Run/Walk will start at 11.00am prompt. Both events will take place around the village of Gayton, following track and road, starting and finishing at Gayton Social Club. They are suitable for people of all ages and abilities from the most competitive runner to those who just like to walk. Children under 8yrs must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.
The event this year is to raise monies for QEH - West Newton Dementia Ward
The West Newton ward has been designed to be dementia friendly with areas designated by colour and clocks to help with orientation and a day room and garden area to enable people to have a sense of normality during their admission.
Dementia is a set of symptoms that over time can affect memory, problem-solving, language and behaviour. There a four main types with most common being Alzheimer’s. Today 52% of UK adults know someone with dementia.

Entry fees for both events - £15 Adult/£7 Child (6-15yrs).
Registration forms are also available from Gayton Social Club and Gayton Goslings, Gayton.
Entry on the day - £18 Adult/£8 Child (6-15yrs). CASH ONLY - NO CARD PAYMENTS
Registration Opens: Mini Event 9am - 10am prompt.
10k Event 9am - 10.30am prompt.
Race numbers are collected on the day at the race pre-registered point.
Please allow plenty of time before the event starts to collect race numbers etc.
Parking available at Gayton Football field.
We are hoping to attract up to 150 participants, so come and join in the fun, support the competitors and help our chosen charity. We have various refreshments on sale and a raffle with big prizes. Spectators, family and friend’s welcome.
