Join us on Sunday 28 June for a special Meet the Restorers day – a rare chance to chat face-to-face with the experts caring for this extraordinary historic building. From architects and stonemasons to conservators, carpenters, ecologists and even a bee specialist, you’ll hear first-hand how their skills help preserve the Hall for future generations.
What to expect:
- This family-friendly, all-ages event is designed to be engaging and interactive, with plenty to see, do and try.
- Activities take place both inside and outside the Hall, including:
- Friendly, informal opportunities to meet the restoration team
- Discover how new work blends seamlessly with historic fabric
- Behind-the-scenes tours of the project
- Hands-on activities, including traditional crafts like wattle and daub
- Interactive elements specially designed to engage younger visitors
- Insights into specialist conservation techniques, including bat-safe construction
Whether you are drawn to history, intrigued by restoration, or simply seeking a great day out, there's something here for everyone.
