March 21 Informational special presentation about a new preschool hearing program that the No.VA Lions hope to implement. The event will be held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon on March 21. Please contact me at [email protected] for more information and to RSVP. Light refreshments will be served
We will have an informational table at the North Point Giant on March 29 and will also be selling our VA Whitley's famous peanuts. Stop by and see us from 11 AM-3 PM
April 4. We will be at the annual Easter Egg hunt in Herndon from 9-noon. Stop by and see us, grab a donut and or purchase some Peanuts
April 25 Will be our spring street clean up event. We work to help remove debris from a part of Sunset Hills Road in Reston twice a year.
Things we are looking forward to:
A fun night out together on March 20 to see a comedian at the Bungalow Lakehouse Cafe in Sterling.
The Reston Lions will be guest bartenders at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern on April 9 from 6-10. Come joion us and learn how wonderful it is to be a Lion
Presentation about a STEM program for middle and HS students
Hosting a program by the Fairfax Fire Dept Community Safety dept
Hosting a speaker from SARS, Sons of the American Revolution, I am really looking forward to this one
We will be inducting two new members in May, raising funds for sight saving research and walking with the FFoundation Fighting Blindnesson May 16 at Yards Park along the DC Waterfront.
Our hearts will recently touched by a mental health program we hosted about suicide. A wonderful speaker from the American Suicide Prevention Foundation joined us for a informative and intimate discussion about this topic that impacts so many..
We continue to pay for eyeglasses and exams for those in need, recycle glasses and donate to the LINK food pantry.
Sixteen Fairfax students participated in our annual Bland Music competition that was held on February 10.
Being a Lion is truly so very rewarding. I am deeply grateful to my fellow Lions and all that we accomplish working together to make a difference to others.
