MEET THE MAKERS is your chance to chat face-to-face with inspiring creators, hear their stories, and get the inside scoop on what drives their passion.
On March 28th and 29th, Portslade will host a weekend-long showcase of local creative art, workshops, and live demonstrations, all FREE of charge.
Attendees of the Meet the Makers event will have the chance to meet local artists selling their work, join workshops and live demos, and discover the incredible and diverse art created by artists in Portslade and the surrounding area.
Meet the Makers will be held at South Portslade Community Centre (SPCC)
The weekend features a diverse lineup of artists selling their artwork and hosting workshops/demonstrations. From paintings, photography and paper cutting to pottery, jewellery, textiles and unique handmade gifts, it's a chance to appreciate the work of artists such as woodworker Mark Cass, ceramist Sophia Passmore, watercolour artist John Haywood, tapestry weaver Sarah McLean, and many more.
In addition to the artworks on display, Meet the Makers will have a selection of savoury and sweet food provided by the Network of International Women for Brighton & Hove.
The event is organised by PAM (Portslade Artists & Makers), a group of local creatives promoting culture in Portslade - Beyond The Boundary!
