Dr. John C. Paulson will offer an inside look at the creative process behind his latest jazz ensemble work, "The Music of Monet" featuring jazz vocalist Janette Hanson. Drawing inspiration from the color, texture, and atmosphere of Monet’s paintings, he’ll explore how visual art can be transformed into sound. Please join us for an engaging conversation about composition, imagination, and the intersection of jazz and visual art. The presentation will also include a discussion other works from his repertoire to be presented at the 7:00 pm concert with his big band at Central Lutheran Church. A free will offering will be taken to support the project. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.#H3OJazzTrio
