We’re extremely honored to invite you to a meet-the-author with Matt Ruff, during which we will talk about his genre-blending work, inspirations and experiences with language.Matt Ruff - an acclaimed American author known for his inventive and thought-provoking novels, blending historical narrative, social commentary, science fiction, and suspense. He burst onto the literary scene with his debut Fool on the Hill and has since captivated readers and critics with works like Set This House in Order: A Romance of Souls (winner of the James Tiptree Jr. Award), The Mirage, Bad Monkeys, and the groundbreaking Lovecraft Country. The latter became a critically acclaimed HBO television series, bringing his sharp exploration of American racism through the lens of pulp horror to a global audience. His work has been translated into multiple languages, including Polish, and is available at our Polish-language sister branches.
The meeting will be run in English, intended for participants aged 16+. Free entry.
While Matt will be calling in via Zoom from the USA, we invite you to come to the library to spend some time in the company of other literature-lovers.
