Kaitlyn Bolyard is a poet, novelist, and educator based in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She teaches writing and literature at DePaul University and Carthage College, where she nurtures the voices of future writers while continuing to develop her own. A lifelong storyteller, Bolyard began writing stories in childhood and publishing poetry in literary journals before she even finished elementary school.
Her literary voice is straight-forward and emotionally driven, blending personal insight with the vivid imagination that fuels her genre-crossing work. Bolyard’s novel, Mystical Music, launches the Chords of Prophecy series—an urban fantasy grounded in real emotions and complex characters. In addition to fiction, her poetry offers timely reflections on the world, encouraging readers to rethink familiar narratives and current events.
Kaitlyn lives with her chef husband, whose culinary skills keep her well-fed as she balances teaching, writing, and pursuing a doctorate in Education. She’s currently working on the second book in the Chords of Prophecy series.
