Join us for a special community event celebrating the talented writers of Lexington and Davidson County!
Friends of the Lexington Library invite you to Meet Our Local Authors, a free public showcase highlighting up to 20 selected local authors in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Come meet the authors, discover new books, and support our local writing community!

We anticipate approximately 100 attendees for this exciting afternoon of books, conversation, and community connection. Books will be available for purchase on site, and authors will be present throughout the event to engage with readers.

Eligibility:
• Must be local to Lexington/Davidson County (or originally from the area)
• Must have published books available for sale at the event
There is no registration fee. Selected authors will be asked to join Friends of the Lexington Library with a $15 annual membership fee, which supports literacy initiatives, author events, and educational opportunities in our community. Authors retain all proceeds from their book sales.
Friends of the Lexington Library is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to supporting our local library through advocacy, fundraising, and community programs that benefit readers of all ages.
We look forward to celebrating and supporting our local authors — and we hope to see you there! 📖💙
