About this Event
Pottery & New Friends in Lekki π¨
What if making new friends was as simple as shaping a piece of clay?
Join us for a relaxed and creative pottery experience in Lekki Phase 1, hosted in collaboration with the talented team at Ablesworth Pottery in Lekki 1. Pulse Meet New Friends matches you with a small group of solo attendees going to the same event, so you show up with new friends. This beginner friendly session is designed for people who want to try something new while meeting interesting people in a warm, welcoming environment.

Event Details
Start with a Welcome Reception
We begin the evening with a 20 minute welcome reception where everyone can settle in and start chatting. Enjoy small chops and bottomless drinks while meeting the people you will be creating with. It is an easy, relaxed way to break the ice before the class begins.
A Beginner Pottery Experience
You will then take part in a 1 hour guided pottery class led by an experienced instructor. No experience is needed. The instructor will guide you step by step as you shape your own unique piece on the pottery wheel.
Pottery has a way of slowing things down and bringing people together. Conversations flow naturally while hands are busy creating something meaningful.
Meet People You Are Likely to Click With
The event runs in three groups of up to 20 people, and each group is thoughtfully matched based on age range and vibe so you are surrounded by people you are more likely to connect with.
Before the event, you will be added to a private group chat with your group. Each chat includes a friendly host who helps break the ice, start conversations, and get everyone talking before the event.
Many groups use the chat to plan drinks, dinner, or a hangout before or after the class, which often turns the evening into something even more social.
Designed to Turn a Fun Evening Into Real Friendships
The group chat stays open for two weeks after the event, giving everyone time to continue the conversation and plan another meetup.
Every time the group meets again, the chat automatically extends for another two weeks. This way the group can keep meeting again and again, helping casual introductions grow into real friendships.
Your Pottery, Fired and Ready to Keep
Your ticket includes the firing of your pottery piece. After the class, the clay needs to dry for several days before it is fired in a kiln. This process transforms the clay into durable, waterproof ceramic.
Once it is ready, you can either:
- Pick up your finished piece
- Have it shipped to your home
It is a small keepsake from a night where creativity and new connections came together.
