This session brings regional artists together for a thoughtful conversation about one of the most underrated parts of making art: titling your work.
We’ll dig into whether you should title your pieces, how a title can open the door for an audience (or quietly shut it), and what might be missed when work goes unnamed or gets stuck with a last-minute label. Whether you title intuitively, overthink every word, or reluctantly scramble for titles at the eleventh hour, this is a space to swap stories and learn from fellow artists.
Emerging artists as well as professional artists are encouraged to join us.
