About this Event
Lucy Hunter, known internationally as The Flower Hunter, is a British floral designer, educator, and author celebrated for her poetic, nature-led approach to floral design. Trained at London’s renowned McQueens Flower School, Lucy draws inspiration from the landscapes around her—wild hedgerows, forests, and seasonal gardens—creating work defined by an artful, gathered aesthetic that honors flowers in their most natural form.
Through her editorial projects, installations, teaching, and beautifully written books, Lucy encourages florists and flower lovers alike to slow down, observe, and design with intention. Her philosophy goes beyond technique, offering a thoughtful and deeply creative way of seeing and working with flowers.
Please join us Monday, March 2nd, at 9:30 a.m. in Kapknick Hall as Lucy shares her daily inspiration drawn from the landscape and garden. In studios and workshops around the world, she invites us to see floral design differently—revealing how observation, imagery, and emotion inform her work as a floral and garden artist, and how that inspiration is translated into designs that captivate and enchant. Tickets available for $75 at the link below.
