We’re excited to welcome Sarah Fernando from Medtronic back to Toowoomba Endocrine & Diabetes for our 3rd Medtronic Support Day on Monday, 18th of May from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Free of Charge.This is a great opportunity for anyone using — or considering — a Medtronic insulin pump or sensor system to receive personalised support. Sarah will be available to answer questions, provide practical tips, and help you get the most out of your diabetes technology.
Whether you’re new to pump therapy or have been using Medtronic pumps and sensors for years, a session with Sarah can help refresh your knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and optimise your diabetes management.
Sarah can assist with:
• Understanding how the Medtronic algorithm works and how to reduce highs and lows while improving Time in Range
• Tips to improve sensor adhesion, manage adhesive sensitivities, and trial helpful products
• Techniques for one-handed application of the Guardian™ 4 sensor
• Connecting to CareLink™ Clinic through the MiniMed™ Mobile app and troubleshooting apps or software
• Sick day management when using the Medtronic 780G insulin pump
• Guidance with upgrading or replacing your current pump
• Learning how to interpret CareLink Clinic reports
• Information about Medtronic insulin pump systems and available funding options for those considering pump therapy
On the same day, our Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Kylie Radunz, will also be available for appointments if you would like to review:
• Pump settings
• Lifestyle and diabetes self-management strategies
• General diabetes management and education
Appointments with Sarah are approximately 45 minutes and are free of charge.
