Missing Stitches - mends for medium to heavy weight knitsAbout this Event
Does your sweater have a hole you could pump a fist through? Did a cat attack leave your pullover with some missing stitches? In this class students will learn how to fill in thin patches, how to repair a laddered knit, and how to replace missing stitches by grafting in new ones.
It's helpful if students already have some familiarity with sewing, but even absolute beginners can learn quite a lot from this class. No knitting skills required!
Instructor Cirrus Wood is a self-taught artisan who enjoys coming up with and learning new techniques to make clothing more visually appealing and more durable. He runs the mending and tailoring business Dollars & Yen which came about after years of casually combining elements of both Japanese and American design in his own wardrobe.
