About this Event
Teena Anderson of Anoka Meats and Sausage teaches this interactivve class where you make a sustaining dish originating in the Telemark region of Norway. Learn to season the pork, to make meatballs that stay in one piece, and to cook the medisterkraker. The sauce is made from Gjetost, a carmel-colored whey cheese that is one of the most popular dairy products in Norway. Gjetost has a flavor that is similar to caramel but also savory. It's a sauce that you will want to have in your repetoire.
Join Teena, who is a frequent guest on Twin Cities television, hosts this lively class. There's usually a Nordic trivia contest involved as part of her classes, and there's always plenty of good information on buying, storing, and cooking meat.
