Medieval Street Fayre – A Celebration of St James Day Join us for a wonderful afternoon of celebration as the Medieval Street Fayre returns in collaboration with St James Church and English Heritage, marking St James Day in true medieval style.
This special community event will bring together history, heritage and entertainment across the town, with activities taking place at the castle, along the High Street, and within St James Church itself.
Visitors can enjoy a lively programme of traditional medieval entertainment, including mummers, minstrels, storytelling, a mischievous jester, and a variety of engaging, hands-on stalls. There will be demonstrations, performances and interactive experiences for all ages, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates the rich history of our town.
