Hear ye, hear ye! For one night only the doors of the grand Canterbury Castle shall open to all noble lords and ladies, daring knights, and enchanting courtiers – as well as swashbuckling pirates, magical Druids and sorcerers, bold Vikings, and charming peasants! This evening of feasting and merriment within the stone walls of a real castle is the perfect way to kick off the Canterbury Village Medieval Faire season!Adorn yourself in elegant medieval finery (robes, billowing shirts, corsets, and other costuming is absolutely welcome as well!) and prepare to indulge in a sumptuous feast, consisting of five courses and served by period authentic waitstaff. Seating will be at shared tables with an open floor plan, so prepare to make new friends as the night unfolds! In attendance to add revelry to your evening will be Princess Isaade M’boukou, MC Quincy “Chippy” Chippendale, and band Black Murray performing live! Also making appearances will be Queen Mary, The Washing Well Wenches, Dan the Bard, and the Canterbury Pirates! Adult beverages (including mead!) will be available for purchase throughout the night!
The evening opens with guests gathering in our historic Celtic pub beginning at 5:30, where they will mix and mingle while enjoying access to the cash bar. You do NOT need to arrive strictly at 5:30 – but be sure to join us before 7:00 when doors open to the castle and dinner is served! From there the night shall continue to unfold with acts of live music, dancing, and entertainment!
