About this Event
Join us for a gentle hike with healing intent in Griffith Park. We will dive deeper into a discussion and exploration of how to work with the Spirit of the Land in Constellations.
This hike is a companion to our on-line Learning Circle where we study the teachings of the Sun Bear Medicine Wheel. This outdoor event is an opportunity to connect with nature, set meaningful intentions, and reflect on goals and challenges.
This hike is the final gathering for our monthly weekend healing arts intensives that begin with a Friday online class, continue with a Saturday in-person Constellations workshop, and end with a Sunday nature outing.
We will gather at the parking lot for the historic Old Zoo and take a few minutes to meet and socialize briefly. Once everyone arrives, there will be a brief presentation/talk about a healing topic for the day and a handout for further reading. We will then head up a gentle trail for about 20 minutes. We will purposefully walk in silence going up and focus on tuning into the natural world.
As we go, we will each gather natural materials we find along the way—feathers, stones, leaves, etc. At our destination we will then create a small collective altar where we can set personal intentions and open yourself to natural guidance.
On the way back down we can choose to keep silent or to socialize with others.
