Explore the world of generative AI in this interactive workshop. Generative AI uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create written and visual content from a written description.
In this fun, hands-on workshop, we’ll peek behind the curtain of AI, explore how it’s showing up in everyday life and how you can use it confidently and creatively using prompts with different platforms.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Be introduced to the concept of AI and generative AI.
- Practice writing effective prompts while learning to protect privacy and understand the risks and opportunities of using AI.
- Learn to recognise AI across text, image and video formats.
- Experiment with generative AI under the guidance of the program facilitator.
Cost: $8.50
Age: 16+
Skill level: No experience required.
Equipment: Computers are available to use for interactive activities. If you would prefer to work from your own device, we encourage you to do so and please select 'Bring Your Own (BYO) device' ticket type.
Spaces are limited so bookings are essential.
About the Facilitator:
Jane Venegas is the founder and director of Nested Realities. She is a 3D and VR producer who is passionate and enthusiastic about the metaverse and AI technologies. She has worked with the automotive industry, airlines, state governments, theme parks and architects to transform brands through interactive storytelling.
About the Media Lab:
The Media Lab boasts a professional studio set up with a cyclorama wall, green screens, studio lights and Surface Studios with the full Adobe Creative Cloud. The digital tool library contains cameras, recording equipment and other digital accessories that can be borrowed for free with your library membership.
