The following Oklahoma Medal of Honor recipients have been selected to be remembered and honored this year:
- Lieutenant Colonel Ernest Childers
- 1st Lieutenant Jack C. Montgomery
- PFC Albert E. Schwab (Tulsa's own)
The Medal of Honor citations of each person will be read, and a wreath will be laid onsite at the statue of PFC Albert E. Schwab.
Colors will be presented by the Bixby High School JROTC, and a 21 Gun Salute will be rendered by the Sapulpa High School JROTC.
The special guest speaker for the ceremony will be Medal of Honor recipient Specialist 5 Dwight W. Birdwell. Birdwell is a Texas native, but currently lives in Oklahoma.
