Time: 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm Med Instead of Meds is a 6‑week, hands-on cooking series designed to help you put the Mediterranean-style eating pattern into practice in your own kitchen. Each week, we’ll explore simple ways to add more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nuts, and healthy fats to everyday meals while reducing sodium, added sugars, and highly processed foods.
During this very interactive class, participants will work in small groups to prepare recipes, practice basic knife and kitchen skills, and taste a variety of dishes that are budget-friendly and family-friendly. We’ll discuss how eating the Med Instead of Meds way can support blood sugar control, heart health, weight management, and overall wellness, and you’ll leave each session with recipes, tips, and strategies you can use right away at home.
