About the Book
The Alchemist is a modern allegorical novel that follows Santiago, a young shepherd who sets out in search of treasure and discovers something deeper along the way. The book explores themes of purpose, destiny, risk, intuition, and the tension between security and growth.
It is simple in language, but layered in implication. Many readers revisit it at different stages of life and find it speaks differently each time.
