We are thrilled to be back IN PERSON as a community the 2nd Sunday in October as we have traditionally done every year since 1986!!
Join us as we celebrate ALL our loved ones with Down syndrome, and raise critical awareness and funds for our MDSC community, including those in greatest need. Together, we will be Building an Inclusive Future We Can All Believe In!

Governor Charlie Baker -- In his final year, Governor Baker returns to the Buddy Walk in Wakefield for the 4th time. He recently signed MDSC's top priority Higher Education Bill into law and throughout his tenure has been a staunch advocate for the Down syndrome and ID/DD communities, and for MDSC’s legislative and funding priorities.
Bruins' Todd Angilly -- The Bruins' official National Anthem singer will perform at the Wakefield Buddy Walk for the first time.

Vanessa Welch -- Boston 25 News' Emmy award- winning news anchor returns for her 4th time emceeing this event.
MDSC Buddy Walk Dance Team -- The Dance Inn of Lexington returns with it's Buddy Walk Dance Team, a performance that features amazing dancers from their Adaptive Dance Program, which shares the joy of dance.

Mister Vic's Musical Petting Zoo -- The legendary Mister Vic joins us once again, bringing with him his "musical petting zoo" for kids to explore and play musical instruments of their choosing.
Otter of Go Team 21 Dog Training -- Dave Skoletsky returns to the Buddy Walk with Otter, a pup full of affection and some tricks up his paw sleeves. Check out his story and some of his tricks.
And Much More! -- Costume characters Chase from Paw Patrol, Belle, Ariel and Rapunzel; Balloon artists; Magician; Children’s tent with face painting, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts; snacks, refreshments and a food truck.
Whether you walk with us in person Oct. 9 or walk in your own community in October, each Team Captain gets the unique opportunity to engage their network and community in our efforts to promote acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down syndrome across the lifespan. The Buddy Walk is crucial in our ability to provide the programs and advocacy that we do.
