M.D.C.
M.D.C. is een Amerikaanse hardcorepunkpionier uit 1979 en staat ook bekend als Millions of Dead Cops, Multi Death Corporation en Millions Of Dead Children. De band draait op volle toeren tijdens hun 27e Europese tour en blijft, met zanger en politiek activist Dave Dictor, een uitgesproken anti-fascistische stem binnen punk. Met het recente album The Last War zetten ze die lijn door in compromisloze politieke anthems die muzikaal fel en direct binnenkomen. In hun repertoire zitten iconische tracks als “John Wayne Was A Nazi”, “No Trump No KKK No Fascist USA” en het vroege animal rights-nummer “Chicken Squawk”. Dictor schreef daarnaast meerdere boeken over de scene en een memoir over zijn verleden met de band. M.D.C. heeft een enorme livegeschiedenis en blijft elk jaar touren; in 2024 speelden ze bovendien shows om mensen te stimuleren tegen Trump te stemmen.

FAST FRIENDS SF is een rockband uit San Francisco die draait op langdurige vriendschap en nul verspilde energie. BARACKCA brengt al sinds 1993 uitgesproken politieke punk-hardcore vanuit Hongarije naar podia door heel Europa en Zuid-Oost Azië. Hun sound mixt Hongaarse punk met Amerikaanse hardcore en een duidelijke anarcho-mentaliteit: snel, rauw en direct. De teksten zijn scherp maatschappelijk en politiek kritisch, met thema’s als anti-kapitalisme, anti-fascisme, discriminatie, geweld, oorlog en de impact van consumentisme op het dagelijks leven. BARACKCA zingt in het Hongaars, maar licht tijdens shows de betekenis van de nummers toe in het Engels of Duits, waardoor hun boodschap voor iedereen voelbaar blijft. M.D.C. are a U.S. hardcore punk pioneer formed in 1979, also known as Millions of Dead Cops, Multi Death Corporation, and Millions Of Dead Children. Now shifting into high gear on their 27th European tour, the notorious anti-fascist punk icons continue a 45+ year legacy led by singer and political activist Dave Dictor. Their vital album The Last War delivers unflinching political anthems that are as lyrically direct as they are musically ferocious, keeping M.D.C.’s radical punk rock core front and center. The band’s lyrics are sharply focused on political and social issues, addressing anti-capitalism, anti-fascism, discrimination, violence, war and the emotional impact of consumerism on everyday life. BARACKCA performs in Hungarian, while explaining the meaning behind the songs in English or German between tracks, making their message accessible far beyond language barriers.
